CLIENT: RED BULL | AGENCY: NEW CREATURES | PRODUCTION: KLIP COLLECTIVE / MONOGRAM
I had two main roles in this project working with Klip. First was to create a scale model of Philadelphia City Hall (with no architectural plans available and only a few measurements) to use for both animation and setting up projections. Secondly I was asked to concept and create a minute long branded open to kick off Red Bull’s live event.
To create the model, I took about 200 photos of the building’s facade, processed them in Lightroom, fed them into Agisoft Photoscan to create the high poly scan. From there I led a team of artists that retopologized and rebuilt elements of the building. I then created clean UV’s for all the elements, took the retopologized elements back into Photoscan and used the clean UV’s to create texture maps from the original site photography.
I then Rigged individual elements for animation and was able to control the whole building with the mograph toolset in Cinema 4d.
